Dublin - Irish Studies

Program Overview

Dublin

Rich in culture and pride, modern Dublin is a vibrant city with more than half of its population under the age of 25. This colorful, cosmopolitan city is home to a world-class art scene and is known for its literature and famous writers, such as George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde, and Samuel Beckett.

In this program, you learn about Irish culture through courses in the humanities and social sciences that focus on themes of tradition, change, and identity in modern Ireland. Writing and literature courses tap into the rich artistic history of Ireland, and you may also choose to participate in an internship or service learning placement to complement your classroom learning.
