Dr. Erin Hillis is the Director of the Buckman Center for International Education and the PDSO at Rhodes College. As Senior International Officer at the College, she is responsible for comprehensive internationalization efforts, including student mobility, faculty-led program development, and immigration regulatory compliance. She manages the Global Ghana semester-long program for three institutions and coordinates the Buckman International Curricular Development Grants for Rhodes faculty. Additionally, she is an adjunct member of the faculty, offering a year-long course, "Teaching English as a Foreign Language," in the Educational Studies department. Her PhD is in Applied Linguistics from The University of Memphis.

Dr. Hillis meets with:

  • Faculty who are planning summer- and semester-long programs abroad and away.
  • Study abroad students with emergencies and/or unique situations.
  • International students on all immigration matters.
  • International students who are applying to study abroad.
